The State of Black Families Community Forum: Grandmothers & Caregivers is a powerful one-day gathering designed to educate, empower, and connect the individuals who serve as the heart of our families and communities.
Hosted by Voices of Black Grandmothers (VOBG) and VOBG Cares, this forum brings together grandmothers, caregivers, parents, community leaders, service providers, advocates, entrepreneurs, faith leaders, educators, and healthcare professionals for meaningful conversations and practical solutions that strengthen Black families.
Attendees will participate in engaging panel discussions, interactive workshops, resource sharing, networking opportunities, and community-driven conversations focused on the issues impacting families today. Topics include caregiving and kinship care, health and wellness, financial empowerment, entrepreneurship, education, advocacy, and building stronger support systems for future generations.
